Ok i've decided to make a build thread. Why not?

It's not actually IFS4Lyfe, just compiling parts for SAS

    The Tundra:

My First truck was a 2006 Toyota Tundra. Loved the truck. Here's the gist of what happened (I managed to break everything on that truck)

When I first got her: totally stock.
    [IMG]image-3_cafa547707f38222de7e52c0b475de5242868d41.jpg

Got some Bilsteins, wheels and tires, painted the badges, ect ect ect. Cheer Team had a field day with the truck
    imagejpg1-6_2ebbf840fdfc41f3c4b9eab92ac830b67a4412f5.jpg

Got some Icons... lol. That didn't last long
    image-141_e030a99427ba0665ffe1e475a3f6e79dde44e131.jpg

Miss being able to do this... Sold the trailer. Oh well
    imagejpg2-1_9ddb12eecff541bd301c5fcddf5fa339c831cd7c.jpg

Ended up getting Foxs to play with the LR UCAs. Grew my love of the brand
    image-172_049277dc7de8a174fd7db5f3eee40eda3019f70d.jpg

On the way to State (again)! Of course, Cheer had another field day with my truck
    image-180_99e2047fdecfbabc15363ebc9de541dc179c76c6.jpg

Little did I know, last excursion with the truck (look at how stock @Texan Tacoma is)
    10864681_919900194697760_1158826274_n.jpg

Was then in a high speed off road accident. Still to this day just thankful everyone riding in the truck was ok. Guess I had a tad bit too much fun with those Foxs..
    image-198_139ef3decc79d6434353cd1db2b3c12a798bcbf7.jpg

My parents took part of the insurance check and I used the rest to pay off what was left of the Tundra. I started with $0.00 and had to start saving again.. Wasn't easy for a senior in high school with aspirations of engineering colleges.

So after rolling the Tundra, got a job at a dealership. Months later, after fighting with sales people, took my new (to me) 2004 TRD OR 4x4 V6 AC Tacoma home. Here's the kicker. Only 40,800 miles on the clock! Then of course, went off roading that night.

    tacoma_0a41401afb4543076bd5b68a6f0fde2660fee2d5.jpg

Got some wheels and tires, and some tinted headlights (that are for sale if anyone wants 'em)

    11373982_398439677018186_1895712844_n.jpg

Then, in an effort to add some funds to my bank account, sold the camper shell
    11850218_1006816386006852_1339646693_n.jpg

Then I saw a deal on the buy/sell page... impulse buy go! And of course, added a light bar
    12237375_174611352888107_429248633_n.jpg
Hell yeah, I can see now. They even change colors! Gawd damn. This was to tied me over while the big toy was getting shipped...

    Then, I made her glow!

This was a total bitch. Ugh. Worth it though, 'cause now i'm part of that #RiceLife.

That's the gist for now. I'll be sure to be better about more in depth stuff as I go. I have all the pics on my phone, but sifting through it all would be a hassle. I'll be better from now on though I promise!

Ah nice to see the mech eng represented. I graduated many moons ago with my BSME, designed tools for DeWalt for years, medical equipment for GE, and now find myself managing dozens of engineers doing the stuff I loved to do. Never a car-nut though. That may be changing now that I see how fun this off-roading world can be.

That's awesome! I want to go into aerospace. The dream is actually to design jets.

When I was younger I was never into cars. But I got a street 2WD tundra for my first car and took it out mud slinging one day... Now I can rip apart a car and put it back together (I think...), have pretty much every modern cars stats memorized, and off road at least every weekend. Not to mention all the aftermarket knowledge. It's just all so interesting. The mechanics are awesome. They'res always more to learn. The off road community is awesome. Plus, the only thing better than bombing down Matagorda at 75 mph is flying. And a pilots license isn't exactly cheap... Even if off road hobby standards.

    Got my new bumper in!

    image_13_33b9c28fc59bd18129824d02715349a06b4bc1a0.jpg

Rip that old thing off and got to work. Got the winch on the bumper and started prepping

Then came the priorities. 8 stores later, got some D rings... Then painted em red :headbang:

    image_15_2f003016e50ab8841982e40b7a20e522a5bdc9b4.jpg

    Then had to cut shit

    image_16_8d1f26f300e0248dab45c6d09ee22393dbd667d8.jpg

Mounted it... Then cut more shit

    image_17_0dbd799504cb68be2a9f7cb935c96ae8bc118022.jpg

    Then started on the lights

Can't vouch for a 50, but my 40 is decently deep and not too loud. It drones cause I have an axle dump for off road purposes and has balls in 4 lo otherwise I don't think it's ricey at all.

Thanks! The rock lights are by far the biggest pain in the ass on this truck. No matter how well I saughter them they come undone between off road usage and power washing from power wash usage.

Was gonna wrap em in shrink wrap but they're zip tied to my plastic flares and it's just not worth redoing. I wrap the saughter in electrical tape but it doesn't do much
