Lime stone roads have done a number on the ole girl.

I am going to try and remove and repaint the spots this weekend. The rust seems to be just surface, no pits from what I see.

Any remedies or suggestion in best practices?

Any idea of the best paint to use? I have some left over rust-olium 2000 degree that Ive used on mostly on engine parts

Doesn't the high temp paint use heat to fully cure? If so (check first), don't use that.

Since your rust looks to be just surface rust like you said, you should be able to skip the needle scaler and the wire wheel. Start with the prep and etch (phosphoric acid), a product like this will work perfectly. I cant tell how much rust you have based on the pictures you posted, but 1 gallon should be enough. Paint it on the exposed rust and then just follow the steps outlined in the post I linked. It's a bit of a project but the frame will look like new when you're done. Wear your PPE.

As a person that works for a limestone company, looks normal to me. :notsure:

Or as others have said, just a good cleaning /sanding/ normal repainting will do.

If that’s from driving on the limestone roads just go drive around for a while and then you can skip the sanding/wire wheel step too:p

I agree with this. Considering pre frame recall.

Buy some new fender splash guards to replace the missing ones otherwise the stuff in your engine bay is going to corrode too.
