This actually works reasonably well. In the snow the 1st thing I do is turn on the LSD....which in turn shuts down the god-awful traction control. Stability control pops back on above 30 mph and back off under 30 mph. That I can live with

Did you sort it all out after all?

If you have an e-locker I think any recommended gear oil is fine.... gl-5 or whatever.

The only time you would run into any kind of issue would be if you had an LSD for the rear, which is what I'm in the process of sorting out now.

So far everything points to using non synthetic for the rear for the factory LSD along with a lsd additive.

The only part I'm questioning still somewhat is is using dino gear oil as it seems the factory LSD needs a bit more lubricity to avoid chatter.

That said the consensus still seems to be to use dino oil along with a LSD additive.

Have you actually visited the Redline website and entered your truck into its product search? It will tell you what oil/fluid you need for everything from the engine to the rear diff, and everything in between.

    Try using this:
    Red Line Synthetic Oil
