    Does this mean that they are not recommended or suitable for use with a portable compressor such as a VIAIR 300P?

    They can be used, but a little common sense is required, with an unregulated pressure source, and a relatively high powered compressor, I fear that someone could have the valve closed, and the compressor running for an extended period of time, therefore building up as much pressure as the compressor could muster into the air line itself. Chances of the line bursting are slim to none, but it's still a concern. Used properly, only closing the valve to check your progress this would work perfectly fine for a portable compressor.
