planning to get rid of my plastic bedliner and replace with line-x over the rails. question: will there be any trouble putting rails for a tonneau cover on top of the line-x coating on the tops of the bed rails?

    thanks in advance!

I used Herculiner - so its not nearly as thick as a professionally sprayed LineX.

It'll depend on the clamping system that the tonneau cover uses. What kind of tonneau cover are you getting?

I had a tonneau cover on my 96 with the Herculiner..... it used C type clamps. [IMG]

I would say you'll be fine and I'm sure its been done before. But, it won't hurt to list what tonneau cover your getting and see if you get any other responses.

thanks for the reply...i'm planning to use an extang tuff tonno cover, which uses clamps similar to those you've shown. image from extang installation instructions.
