has anyone used line x on their composite bed? I haven't seen anyone do it but I'm considering getting one sprayed in my bed.

Anybody want to share their experience?

    Pics will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

I did it. Couldn't be happier! Not only does it look sweet... But I can throw whatever I want back there and it'll always stays looking brand new for years to come.

Still require a bedmat? Or does the linex coating help with how slippery the bed is.

    Coating is all you need.

The bed is plenty tough for what i put in there. I know.

2 weeks after I bought the truck, I dropped a full 1/4 keg from about 3 feet above the bed and thought, SHIT. It had been about 20 years since I picked up a keg they either got heavier or I got weaker. But the damn thing held up.

Anyway what I dont like is the sliding around. So, me being cheap, I went to HD, and bought one of those cheap rubber mats that stores put out when it rains. width was fine but it was a few inches too long so I cut it. It was around $27 or so? I only put it down when I put my camping gear in, because that's the stuff that slides around even when tied down. I can then roll it out on the camp site. It's cheap and I can roll it up and put in the garage when I don't need it, in a few minutes.

Thanks. I went back and forth on doing it or not based on this forum but I have a pretty good relationship with the linex guy here and he assured me it would stick. Now the bed looks so much better. It was pretty beat up before.

Definitely bro. I’m a car painter well used to be LOL for 20 yrs. Line X is bar far the best looking bed coating. Just be sure to keep it out of direct UV exposer it does dull out if so. This is definitely on my list of to do’s.

I just do not get spending that kind of money on Line-X coating for a composite truck bed. A $100 bed mat is really all you need. But then again, I have spent a lot of money on less impactful things in my life so what do I know!

I thought this was going to be a goof thread. I didn't expect bed liner material would actually stick well to the composite. That being said, I wouldn't do it. To me, the whole point of spray-in liner is to protect a metal bed from abuse and the elements. The composite bed and a mat solves the majority of reasons why someone would want a spray-in liner.

I like the way it looks and probably stiffens the bed a little more.
