Rhino liner / linex in new truck?

What do you guys think about putting rhino liner in the brand new truck? I'll be loading it up with dirtbikes and all types of random stuff for the dessert every weekend... I'm seeing cost at about $500 which I'm cool with. Just wondering if I should do it now or if I should wait?

 

Probably not going to stick to the ¨composite¨ bed.

 

What's the point of doing it now? Wait until the bed is scratched up and otherwise destroyed, THEN get it lined for that brand-new look.

 

The stock bedliner works fine for me with my dirt bikes. An oem bedmate made it nice so my gas cans dont slide around though.

The OEM bed matt looks nice but I'm worried after a few months it won't... Not sure if it'll last the test of time. How is yours?

 

That's what my plan was but my buddy told me it's better to get it done now. Thought it was a little weird... So you recommend waiting until it's trashed?

 

Oem mat is pretty stout

 

Do it now, most places have lifetime warranty on it anyways. I have herd some guys are not able to blend the compound properly to adhere to the composite tho. Might be something to look into.

 

Will it work on the plastic bed?

 

More of a fiberglass style composite than plastic.

Yes it can be done.

I do not know about Rhino, but I've read that Line-X has a procedure for spraying the composite box. If the local dealer has not done it before then have them call the manufacturer.

 

Whats a tacoma bed look like without the factory liner in it?

 

Did Line X to my 15. It sticks. They scuff the bed up first.

 

That's not a factory liner. That is the bed. That's why many people who haul anything put the bed stiffeners in.
