I posted the build in the Audio/Video forum like I was supposed to, but figured it would get more attention and possibly help more 3rd gen owners if I linked it here as well.

Opinions or feedback is welcomed. I'm still fairly newish around here but plan to do many things to this truck. Now if only I had somebody to help me with the lift install in the SC area I'd be on to my next project. hint hint

I'll continue to use this thread for future build projects on my truck in the coming months. Stay tuned.

Teaser pics to entice others to view the build thread lol

It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
i <3 jl but it pisses me off they only offer those in dual 4 ohm. makes no sense. build looks very clean and nice

Thanks and agree. I wanted to run 2 ohm...nope impossible. And my amp wasn't one ohm stable, so I'm stuck at running 4 ohm. Reduced power.

I'm kinda surprised how fast this thread got buried lol.

    Makes me curious...

How many are perfectly satisfied with their tacoma audio quality, and how many people desire an upgrade?

Yes the benefit with that is you get to keep atleast one tool bin behind the seat, I had to remove both. However I wanted more output than a single sun would have delivered. Looks good BTW.
