Im now running p265/70r17 Michelin LTX AT2's. The pics in all my photos though are either MS2's in the same size, or Cooper A/Tw in 235/85r16.

I miss my MS2's. WAY nicer tire than the AT2. I needed to swap out the 10 ply for P rated though and got way too good a deal on them to pass up (brand new take-offs for 450 installed).

How is your speedometer affected by the bigger tire and wheel?

Can you post a picture of your truck with the tires, I've been looking at the general grabbers.

    who me?

Apparently I now travel 3.7% further and faster than my truck would have me believe (compared to stock size) but from the scuttlebutt I read around here, a lot of the speedos run a little fast to begin with so you can take that into consideration if you care about 3% +/-.

Personally, when my truck has 100,000 kms I can feel like I got one over on The Man because its actually traveled 3700 kms more than that. That, and I don't look so closely at my speedo that 3% makes a difference anyway.

Yeah no problem later on I can take another one from a different angle and they look even better in person. So far I've loved everything about them, they balanced well, they ride really smooth and handle very well on road. They've done awesome offroad through snow/ice, dirt, rock and the little mud I've encountered. The only con I've seen so far is they have a hum to them when I'm on the highway but I only notice it at about 70-80mph which doesn't bother me I just turn the radio up a little more.
Edit: The stock Goodyears kicked up way more rocks into my doors than these and it was always on the freeway that I would hear it smashing into the paint.

The only thing I wish general would do is make the sidewall more aggressive, how big of a power loss did you experience with the taller tire?

They do look way more aggressive in person though and then you can really see how deep the tread is too. I haven't experienced or felt any loss of power, the ride feels better over stock like it isnt as mushy. I'd rather have a great tire that preforms well over one that looks extremely cool.

I have to say that I love the general grabbers look but they are really heavy....57lbs in 265/75/16. I know you guys are bashing the falken wildpeaks in the P rating but they are only 42lbs and 14/32 which is really good for a P rated tire...as a reference point, dueler revo's and destination at's are 12/32 and 13/32 so 14/32 isn't bad...one tire that would have been really awesome is the goodyear duratracs: load range C LT tire that only weighs 45lbs with 18/32" tread depth but they are just too expensive for me (double the price of the falkens)

Those are nice tires but they are listed at 57lbs (one of the heavier LT's in 265/75/16) and the falkens are listes as 43.9lbs

I wouldn't know if this is new or not, but found the Cooper AT3 in load range C in 265/75-16: https://www.treaddepot.com/#!productDetail/tireStandardFitment/90000002724

I had the 265 75 16 in the at2 on my 05 big hit on mpg. The 17 inch 265/70 in standard which is basically c load is 42 lbs. I will vouch for the tire being great. My standard loads saw no gas milage different maybe better slightly due to less rpms. I have a set with 80 percent tread in my garage mounted balanced and tums on the 2nd Gen sport rims taking up space;-) NV_Tacoma is right on. The at2 my be the best all around tire put there. All the tests and reviews cannot lie. Maybe this is going to be a at2 thread. Where is the group rebates General tire!
