First I'll reply to OP: Get the Winch! ( It's a lot less exspensive!) Then you can consider the locker after you have wheeled for a while and if you still think you'll need it. Also you should have recovery gear, first aid kit and never wheel alone! I have the DC 4x4 Longbed with limited slip and 4 wheel a lot.
Our local 4x4 club got a police escort when we delivered 125 Trukeys to a local food pantry. Each year we hold 4x4 events to raise money to buy the turkeys and put toward many local charities.

    Second, to all.on.black:
I see you are up in WA. Your laws there may be State or local. I live in Pa and here we help those in need of a tow, pull or just help out in anyway we can. If someone has been in a vehicle accident involving personal injury or property damage we wait for police! Usually assisting in anyway needed while waiting. When the police show up, if the stuck vehicle owner asks for help, ask the police officer first and usually (as long as it's not a sever or multi-car accident) they say go ahead.
I pulled a School Bus out of the mud:

The Kids were happy they were not going to be late, the bus driver was happy and the Bus Co. sent me a nice Thank You Letter along with some funds to get myself a decent lunch. The local State DCNR guy was there and helped keep other vehicles back.
I have pulled out trucks in snowbanks and many cars that have slid off the road from ice or snow as well as my fellow offroaders. Even the local police needed pulled out of the snow this winter, but they said they already had called it in so they had to wait for the municiple wrecker.

Anchor Sales are on hold pending patents. But things look good vary soon!

 So how big of a boat anchor will it take to hold a 10.000lbs load & can you also use it as a jack to?

There are guys who know more about anchoring than me. But I used to do a fair amount of sailing, and had to pass tests on anchoring technique to get ASA certified to charter various size sailboats.

Anyhow, I'd suggest your best first approximation is to size the anchor based on the size of the ground tackle used (i.e. compare the breaking strength in lbs of your winch cable to the min breaking strength of the boat anchor line - and choose the closest match)

but if you do that - you'll end up with a pretty big anchor -- roughly suitable for anchoring a 60 foot boat!

Now, that being said, that's a massive effin' anchor and probably overkill.

So, whadya do? Best second approximation is probably to take a comparable weight anchor to the corresponding pull-pall (or stinger) So, if you need a 35 lb pull pall, get a 35lb danforth, bruce, or plow anchor. Discounting the ridiculously expensive stainless steel models and focusing on galvanized, well, guess what? Costs about the same amount of coin.

Bottom line: if you're saving a lot of money and storage space, you're probably carrying too small a boat anchor for the job.

I think what I said was: use a boat anchor if you want. But if you get a big enough one for the job, you won't save any money or storage space vs. buying a pull pal designed for the job.

Do you know anyone with a 60 foot boat that would let us borrow their anchor to test against my Stinger Ground Anchor? This sounds like a fun test. :D

Oh - now I get it. I thought you were jokingly suggesting anchoring the boat with the Stinger.

Yeah, that would be fun. But no, sorry. I let my club membership lapse a few years ago. I still go sailing but it's all laser dinghy sailing. Nobody I sail with these days has an anchor bigger than a 1lb used to hold a temporary mark in position.

The results would vary based on soil/ground type and condition as well, as different anchors hold differently in different types of ground.
