What's up Taco Heads?! So I've been racking my brain and fingers through the internet and local shops looking for a rear diff locker for my 2010 Sport 4x4. I would like to get an e locker but can't seem to find one that fits the rear end size and gearing.

I found an ARB, but that's a lot of extra shit that can go wrong, so I want to make sure I'm not missing anything out there. I'm even looking at local junk yards to see if anyone has a full rear end that I can get.

    Thanks in advance.

So I've researched and the 2nd Tacoma does not have an e locker available. The only options that I've found are the ARB, which at minimum, is going to run about $800 for the locker and associated equipment required to activate the lockers. The other option is Eaton TrueTrac, which is basically a beefier LSD. Keep in mind, the 2nd Gen Sport 4x4 doesn't really have a true LSD...it's electronic based. So when you're in 4wheel low, you lose the LSD all together because your tractions control gets turned off.

So, IMO, having a truetrac (no shit mechanical LSD) is the best bang for your buck for the rear diff. Unless my mechanical genius friend can give me a different alternative, I think I'll be going that route.

    Taco_Rob Out.

    there is a elocker.

but at that price you can get a ARB and have a nice onboard air compresser for airing up tires for less lol

As mentioned above, there is an e-locker.

Here is a recent thread on the trutrac paired with auto LSD. I've run the trutrac and really like it for a daily driver.

I didn't see the post about the e locker, which I'm ok with. That would be on the upper part of my budget. I can get the truetrac and installed for less than the base price. Everything for a reason, so I'm sure I'll be happy.

Thanks too all of you for keeping me updated.

and auto locker sucks for a DD unless you drive like a old lady and like coasting though corners.

My sport has a true LSD :burnrubber:

$800 seems cheap for a complete ARB locker.
