I forgot about your 35's as I was blinded by the My Little Pony 285's I run...FUCK, still kicking myself.
Anyway, you're right. I went to spray the mud out of mine from the weekend run today and it amazes me how long you can hold a pressure wand in the wheel well and wait for clear water....and just when you think it's all gone....BOOM, another mud clot drops. I can imagine your's

Well its a land Cruiser with a diesel so I've got that going for me.
Yeah it's nasty... the crappy part is too that it comes out of the flare, gas door, tail lights... it takes me a good 30 minutes with a pressure washer to get my underbelly cleaned up.

Maybe. I am still not sure what days I plan on being there but likely I will swing down at least one day to see some old friends.

    I meant 255x85...

Been doing some extensive research and I'm confident they will surpass my Toyo ATIIs in performance and last just as long.

What did you pay for your smoothies? I was looking at this option vs the OE King 2.5s that are 1k. My thinking is I could get a 14 or 16"

Did you go with the BAMF shock relocation because of the custom smoothies?

I picked mine up used but check out Downsouth Motorsports for good prices.

The BAMF kit is designed for 12" 2.0 Smoothies but folks have made a couple of changes and installed 2.5s.

The installation is a PITA and takes forever to get the frame rails prepped as fair warning.

They were actually my first weld job using MIG...

I am getting ready to take this project on this weekend, well actually started with the frame prep. I am doing the Pelfrey, but same as far as hell prepping the frame. I have same shocks too but came from Pelfreybilt.

Also you would have a hell of a time fitting a 14" or 16" unless you are doing a bed cage

DSM surfing and talking to them is where I got the idea. Then I saw your pics and since you have the closest build to what I'm after and a great help I thought I'd start with you. I won't buy the shock tower but have already spoke to a friend about fabrication out of his garage.

What did they cost you used if you don't mind me asking? I'm thinking that a smooth body 12 " with resi and adjuster will be half of the cost of the OE 2.5

The 12" stroke is a good length for what our tacos cycle with aftermarket leafs and a shackle flip. I have seen plenty of other designs for the shock tower but got a good deal on the BAMF.

You could go 14" but the shock tower would just be higher to accommodate the longer body. Also worth a look is guys like PSUTaco where they relocated the shocks under the bed at a /\. Seems to work very well also.

Just a vehicle to take trash to the dump
One or two things modded... Check out the build thread
I have been thinking over the /\ design. and then keeping the stock locations on so I will run stock style with daily driving for the stability it offers, then throw on the other shocks when I get to the trail. wouldn't need a very long shock or shock body for that setup so I could easily keep them in the tool box...

Just leave the long ones on 24/7 and install the stock ones for on road....
