Well its a land Cruiser with a diesel so I've got that going for me.
There have been actual pictures of turds in toilets posted in this build so you could do no damage!

For some people SUA is damn near a necessary mod...But for 99% it is a huge expense for very small gains and only in a very specific area. If I was living in So Cal and trying to huck my truck all the time as it's sole purpose in life I would think about SUA (More likely links but that's another discussion).

It's a good debate and is very polarized. I am sure plenty of folks would debate it the other way with me all day long but it won't change my opinion.

So what are you going to do, change the angle of the shock to try to squeeze more droop? Get into a bed cage with even longer shocks? Or just 4 link it and soon after solid axle swap the front?

If you indeed want a rock crawler you might as well start that direction.

You can sell me your 12" Kings :)

But do you know the real reason they have SUA? You showed 2 examples of a truck with sua that can rock crawl. How many examples do you want to see of rock crawlers with soa? I can show you 2 examples of people who rock crawl with front LT. I can also show you 1000s of examples who rock crawl with SA. Does that mean you can't do it well with LT? No. Does it mean SA is better? Yes. There's a reason people build suspension components for certain types of wheeling. Just cause you can wheel well with it doesn't make it the best option. If you grew up around rock crawlers, you learn a few common sense things

Never said it was the best option... Nope totally oblivious as to why they have SUA, jebus, i've wheeled with both of them and know they love hucking their trucks. I've also crawled with them and know their travel numbers made the same trail way easier for them than me and im SOA...

    Troof...

Seen preprunners with SUA hitting 18" of droop and a spool make it up off camber rutted out hills with less effort than an FJ on 35s.
In that kind of situation SUA is functional, but I've never seen one in a rock/ boulder bed.

In AZ we have a mix of all of it. You could be blazing a wash one min and next starting at a giant waterfall covered in axle and trans fluid from last few trucks it claimed.

Y'all also mention the fact that they had way more wheel travel then the others. Yes. A truck with 30" of wheel travel is gonna do much better then a truck with 10". But if you wanted to use that comparison then you could say my soa with 30" of wheel travel killed your SUA with 18" so it's obviously better. Or you could compare exact setup for setup and see which is better. SUA didn't mean more travel numbers. It's means travel numbers in a different range of motion then with soa.

Not arguing that one is better than the other. Yes, it is comparing an apple to an orange. I'm just simply stating that SUA can be functional given the right scenario.
Personally, I'm staying SOA. If I really want to get deep into the rocks I can buy a used ftoy for around 6k. They are on CL every week out here.

Stupid fucking SUA talk. LAMP DISPENSER! We need to construct a cooker, basically a contained fryer with a holding bin that will pour X amount of Lamps into a basket. The basket will be on a motor and lower into the pan, on a timer of course. The basket will raise and pour the Lamps into the heated "cooked" bin (gotta keep them bitches warm til we're ready to munch!), where we can reach in and grab 5-10 Lamps at a time and stuff face!!!

Here is a rough sketch I came up with

We need to get rolling on this shit, dawg
