Well its a land Cruiser with a diesel so I've got that going for me.
5k but after having talked to them about how they compute that shit good luck getting anywhere close unless you just paid a shop 10k to do all the work and then crashed it leaving the parking lot...

I'm going to look into getting additional coverage for my rig... After seeing what you went through. Too much money tied up into these things for ~5k extra coverage

    Yes
You should look for a company that writes " assumed value policies " like Grundy Insurance does for classics and show cars. They have DD policies now too, you'll pay but hey...in the event that an invisible pot hole pops up and you go careening off of a cliff it is worth it :facepalm::annoyed:

The problem is they told him that parts had basically no value after 1 year.

I've got it and repairing it...

ehh... both bases are trashed, one more so than the other, but neither are really saveable. the hinges are probably good (they work right now) but I'll just replace them anyways since I'll be in there, the cover needs replacing, and the mounting hardware and rails are shot. actually looks like it's designed to have the rails and hardware fail first... cause if they hadn't... the tent would have been completely destroyed.

Called Tepui... $85 a panel I can replace the bottoms... they've got me on a wait list for any "damaged shipments" that I can get a good panel off... may take all year, but for $170 + the costs of new mounting hardware, hinges, and a cover... it's well worth the wait.

All things considered this could have been a lot worse based on what it went through. I'm pretty impressed with this product. you mentioned that the hinges seemed okay. Were you able to open it up to look for other damage?

I'll tell yah that it was not comfy to sleep in for the few days following the roll...that base is pretty mangled.

yeah, though it's not designed to be on the ground either, so you had the ladder as well as the un even ground to compete with the mangled bases..

Hey Loco, I know you've heard it a whole bunch already but, I'm sorry to hear about your accident with your truck. Your build has always been one of my favorite builds on the site. Glad to hear you were not injured.

The rear was very very twisted and I just didn't feel like fucking with the front and having to explain no front bumper...not just no bumper cover but a whole missing bumper...
