Well I decided it was time to trade in the 2008 TRD that has given me sooo much joy. I headed into the local dealership and started the process everyone just loves to hate. After 3hrs of back and forth they finally came to me with some numbers I could deal with on a new vehicle...

It appears I am heading into my 4th Taco (x1 gen one, x3 gen two) and this time I am doing it the way I want all the way. I located a 2012, doublecab 4x4 6speed in Silver. I only added the SR5 + Tow package and told them I am keeping my rims/tire combo.

I take delivery one they get it from the port on Feb 10th or so...

Best part of the night, Sticker $31,524 down to $26,020 after all was said and done ;-)

Time to take all my goodies off too!

    Damn I love these trucks

Crazy how much prices differ from state to state. TX and NMare proud of their trucks. That truck would be mid 30 to 40k in this region.

Sticker was only $30,469. Are you saying that Tacos sell for up to 10K OVER MSRP in TX and NM?

Thank you, this will be the first 4x4 I have ever owned. I would swear by the locking rear until getting stuck in a washout in Land O Lakes, since then I have been searching and waiting to make my move.

I have been using same guy, Frank at Wesley Chapel Toyota for the last 2 purchases I made. I would give that guy my business in a heartbeat. The last time around, when I got my used TRD, I went to Frank first and he told me the numbers were not workable without wasting my time. I appreciate honesty in the business like that. Sure enough this time around he went to the mat and the sales boss refused to lose a deal last night.

Either way I am very excited for the truck to come in, hopefully before next weekend!

oh good ole wesley chapel toyota, i went there when i was looking for a truck about 5 months ago, the best quote i got was at courtesy toyota in brandon, and I emailed wesley chapel the quote, and he told me to go buy it at courtesy, and the best part was he said he should go buy it, bring it back to his dealer and make some money off it.

Well I was able to take delivery last night after they picked the truck up from another dealership. I ended up saving almost $6000 off the asking price and I could not be more thrilled. The 2012 is well more advanced than my 2008 was and the manual is great (even played in traffic a while).

Here she sits before I start the mods this afternoon
