I thought he was going to have the dealer put the new stock tires on his old truck and put his old combo on his new truck. That's what I had dealership do as part f te deal when I traded my truck in.

The only thing I can imagine is they are going to try and make it up on my trade in due to the 5100's and accessories I left (DVD, TINT)??

I start my dealings with the dealers at 30% off. My target is 25% off and that is pretty much where I have landed on the last 3 cars I've bought. The process takes about a month usually. I have a system that I learned back in 86. The last car was stickered at 21K and I drove it home for 16.5K. The dealer's profit is nowhere near what they allow the public to think. None of them lost money on me, but all of them were glad to see me go :D

    Lol!

I put two dealerships against each other and just told them i could care less if i got the new truck or not. First night took was typical and then it was 7 days to locate and deliver the truck i wanted. Overall this is a good transaction.

I have one person at the dealership i will deal with and thats it.

The truck that they found was in the showroom so it had the skid plate and bed extender...they were trying to charge me for that and the protection plan....I told them I want all of the extras for free or you can take them off of the truck. They were trying to make all kinds of offers when i finally told them I don't need to buy the truck because my car runs fine....that's when they were like okay we'll just throw the extras in for free lol...plus it was like 730pm on a Saturday and I'm sure they all wanted to go home at that point.

Nice truck, but I don't spend more than an hour tops when negotiating a deal. Actually, I don't really negotiate. I walk in with a price and if the salesperson comes back with a different number I thank them for their time and leave. Sometimes I make it down to my car but most of the time I don't.

The only car that I couldn't get them to budge on was a '09 Mustang GT that Ford was offering 0%/60 months financing on. I went through three dealerships before I just bagged the whole Mustang idea and started looking at Tacomas.
