yea i thought my squeak was bad on the the stocks ... its funny, it makes noises on every turn, when i hit the brakes, coast at 2mph, move around in the truck, open the window, etc... i love it :D im sure the lube will quiet it somewhat. all good though, the ride is ALOT better than stock, so it makes up for it

back to topic: you think i would need an alignment after replacing the CV's? I figured i wouldnt have to because i didnt touch the LCA. All we did was disconnect the spindle from the UCA, we were able to slide the CV's out without disconnecting the struts, or LCA.

If you did not remove the UCA or LCA you should not have to get it aligned because nothing should have changed.

I would be concerned with a slightly bent spindle. I am sure yours is not this bad, but maybe a slight bend.

    Sucks for that guy..

However, I doubt that's my issue. I installed the TC's about 2 weeks before these repairs were done and didn't have any rubbing issues in between that time. I would consider that if the rubbing started after jumping the truck, but that's not the case. I appreciate the brainstorming, keep throwin ideas at me. Thinking is good :p

I first installed the UCA's mid-May, and had no rubbing issues. UCA's havent been taken off since. Rubbing started after doing these repairs.. im pretty sure they are on correctly.

Slight drift in a drifting topic, but these motorcycle-style wheel bearings sound like a total blowjob.

Revival...Back to my UCA / COIL rubbing issue previously talked about in this thread..

    I'm still having issues, obviously.

I was thinking about this earlier.....When i first installed the UCA's, I didnt have the rub issue. It was after I replaced the wheel hubs / axles that they started rubbing. I initially thought that we did something wrong when doing the hubs / axles, but i think it's opposite. When taking out the old axles, they felt "locked up". They were a b!tch to pull out. They are supposed to slide in/out of the outer joint freely to accomodate articulation correct? The new axles went in like a glove.

To me this makes sense. Am I on track here?
