    Hello Tacoma World Community! First off, thank you for the great site! I found it by typing into my browser "Bulb replacement, climate control panel, 2008 Toyota Tacoma". This took me directly to a thread on here that discusses this issue, i.e. what to do when a lamp burns out behind the climate control knobs. The pics posted were a great help showing how to get the panel out without breaking anything and then the ensuing discussion of sourcing the replacement lamp. I checked with O'Reilly's but they didn't have this type. So I ended up going to Michaels Toyota here in Bellevue. They had them in stock but they are spendy. $16.27 each! Well the lamp that burned out was an original and has lasted since August 2007 (when I bought this truck) so I hope I don't have to do this again anytime soon.

    Next, I'm going to dig in to that cheesy glove box door damper. I see others on here are having the same issue. Same deal -- go in to replace/clean the cabin air filter then the damper won't stay put -- appears to be a one time deal.

    This is my 5th Toyota truck. First one was a '90 Deluxe Xtra Cab V-6 4WD Auto trans. Next were a '99, '02 and '05. Those were all Regular Cab, 4 cyl 2WD with 5 speed manuals. I use my trucks as a well cared for tool.
