Long Travel BS Thread

    the more vertical the shock, the more effective it will be a dampening. But if you angle it you can get more travel out of a smaller shock.

    So if you angle it forward a bit, you should be able to get around 15-16'' with those 14'' shocks.

    if you had 16s..should be able to get around 17-18 at the right angle.

    But you'll have to valve them a bit stiffer for them to be as effective at dampening.

    The problem is, that the defined kit wont cycle more than 14" of travel.

    ah see i didn't know what kit he was talking about..figured it was just a custom mini bed cage.

    yea sounds like it would be a good kit for someone with a +2 kit though. Kinda a mid-ish travel setup..but still better..haha

    I have it works for me for now, if i get a Burg kit up front i'll honestly switch to the DMZ kit

    Front and rear? About 10k is always a good place to plan..or more..up to 15k or higher depending on a LOT of choices :p haha

    Its a first gen , there is no defined kit, probably Deavers.

    Looks like he would have to get a new rear housing to accommodate for that Giant kit. 1st gens frames don't dovetail like 2nd gens so there's a lot less room outside the frame for stuff like that
