any SOA set up is going to leave you wanting more when paired with a front LT kit.

save yourself the money and headache. just go straight for the defined kit

Patrick is not trying to do speed. he uses it for more expo trails and slower stuff.

I'm running the Expos, soon to be pair with LR Jounce shocks & Icon 2.5's down the road, which I think is sufficient for SOA, I don't think the deavers hold weight well, also they need constant re-archig (From what I've read)

cant really tell if it is a deal or not. i would assume that he is a decent fabricator if he was attempting a full tube chassis vehicle, but there are those meth heads that think they can build race cars too....

would actually have to go look at it and verify that the chassis is square and the mounting points are accurate. then look over the whole thing for signs that he either does or does not know wtf he is doing.

Two questions for all if you guys..Benefits and advantages of a SUA as opposed to SOA?

With the uniball TC stock replacement LCA's would i be able to adjust the caster at all to move my wheels slightly forward away from the cab?

    Thanks.

I've been riding around empty with the Expos for over almost 6months (maybe more) and I don't think they're too stiff.

I don't have them yet, that's why I said down the road :p I do have LR bumps waiting to be installed.

SUA, allows for more uptravel & droop (due to leaf pack size) not sure on all the benefits I know uptravel is the main one.

I'd ask Straycat about that one, but I don't see why not, since the uniball would add more adjustment. Only to a certain point tho

Do you first gen guys have any pics of how you are running your bumps on the back?

I run my shocks outside frame and have boxing plates waiting to go on. Trying to plan out everything to finish the rear w/ cargo area and fuel cell asap so I can work on cab cage and then more engine cage and new front bumper. I am just a bed cage and glass so pretty much anything will work for me just curious to see others.

My goal is to mount everything and then make a area I can haul hunting gear and all back there. Space is limited with dual spaes, dual batteries, and the fuel cell though. I think next step is a rack using tube clamps like on engine cage cause I need to haul more for baja trips and such.

    thanks

Thanks Matt, I was just kinda wondering how much gusseting people had and if they were running a tube or plate of anything between frames and then mounting to that or what. Ive seen a few ways.

I think mine will be much like yours just bumps inside shocks outside.

I know this isnt super technical or anything just wanted to see as much as I can before welding them on ya know?

Thanks again man. Cant wait to go run with you at the meet in Jan. Ive always loved your truck, the rear is way awesome looking.

are you back halfing? if not how do you plan to run your shocks on the outside of the frame without either hitting the shock on the frame, or on the tire>?

Last year was a blast even though I was the only LT truck the whole first day. Aaron showed up late that night and I got excited until he broke his truck. Spent the 2nd day as the only LT truck until I was leaving that night when 2 others showed up. I think this year will be even more fun since there are already a few other LT guys committed.

I already have my suspension done and cage built just doing cell, bumps, and cargo area. Just like how Matt runs bumps outside I have spacers to let me run shocks this way. Those somewhat temporary though as after I cage cab this yea the next thing is new, wider axle.
