Ok guys, I have a stupid Newb question for you long travel guys. I just bought Kevin's from ATO truck, and I love it, and its awesome, but I'm used to quite of rear travel and was wondering what I could to do to improve rear articulation? He has made a awesome set of shackle flips on it and some 5100s on the back, but I want more! LOL
Here what it looks like now...
    _MG_1448_63ea2b0c61e0e5a556588c2b9392cc1aa709ad5f.jpg

and I'm thinking something like this... This was done with no shocks in it. Picture004_9ded0cb8c7b557af3b7fce4d175dcb1add25ab4d.jpg

This is what I'm used to

What are your plans for the truck? High speed desert type stuff or low speed rock crawling and trails?

Thanks for the info, or the word triangulate at least, its lead me to quite a few pages now.

More low speed stuff as the truck is more set up for it IMO, and thats what I'm used to, what I bought the truck for was to be able to travel around to diff. states and not worry about my landrover having issues (even tho mine never gave me any troubles, but you know what they say about LR if its not leaking, its out of fluid) so I bought kevin's to take me up to colorado or az or anywhere else and be able to explore trails, tow our dirt bikes and stuff, and most of the time we travel by ourselves so I want the most capable truck I can have will still being a DD. When I wheeled it today for the first time, I noticed that it was lacking in the rear flex dept and just wanted to see my options. I dont know how much more $ I want to spend on it right now, but hey if its not that bad i'll do it.

    Thanks for the help guys!

If you're going more for low speed I wouldn't waste your money on a bed cage and long shocks. Just look into triangulating the rear shocks and run some 5100's

triangulating your rear shocks wont help you flex it out on the trail and its even worse for high speed stuff. where do you guys get this crap from?

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
Triangulating your shocks allows you to run longer shocks without punching a hole in the bed in turns allowing more droop then the stock shock location. It helps a lot with 2nd Gens seeing how the stock shock location limits the rear spring travel. And yes Triangulation of shocks for high speed sucks because you reduce the shock damping. Ideally you want the shocks at 90* or close to but if you want droop and don't want to cut holes in your bed and run a bed cage triangulating your shocks will allow more droop.

Whoring out my tuck again Brian?

Giant motorsports SUA (spring under axle) Long Travel kit with 16" Kings that come through the bed. Yes...it flexes. If low and slow is your game, then LT is overkill. A better spring pack (deaver or AP) and a midtravel/extended creative shock placement would probably serve you well and be significatly easier on the wallet. Something like this: http://solomotorsports.com/index.php/prod/prodtoy/27-toyota-tacoma-20-rear-shock-hoop-249
