I just purchased a front LT kit (+4.5) and I wanted to know what would be the best setup in the rear as far as leaf packs go. Would the Deaver expo pack do well?

What do you want your truck to be able to do with your suspension?

I live in norcal so obviously I won't be desert running it to its max potential but I do like to push its limits when I'm out. I have 4x4 so I would like some nice flex to somewhat keep up with the front when it gets installed

What kit did you get? The perennial answer is go with the DMZ rear kit otherwise you'll be limiting the performance of your front kit - even if it's a 3.5 so for sure you'll be limiting it with anything less like the TC kit.

Got a kit (currently being fabricated) from BTF. I currently have a bed cage ready to go with 14" triple bypass kings as well...

Here's a couple 4x4 builds that have the DMZ kit. They can mob in the desert and get enough articulation to tackle trails since the owners don't live in socal either.

These videos show the step up in performance the DMZ kit gives you over the Defined / Total Chaos kit that is pretty much the most popular option other guys go with who don't want to hit whoops. A good number of people that take the Total Chaos route at first end up buying and crying twice when they decide they really wanted the DMZ kit after some time with the TC kit.

Dmz rear with a +3.5 kit up front works very nicely. Desert and crawling. IMG_1804.jpgIMG_1784.jpgIMG_1510.jpg

Yes I agree, I would have been alittle frustrated to have bought the TC and then wanted the DMZ later.

When you order your kit talk to Tim the owner and tell him how much weight you plan on carrying and I think he has 2 versions of the leaf pack to carry different amounts of weight.

Yep, dmz is the way to go if you're staying leaf springs. Not sure if I'd go links if you're rock crawling. Lose too much clearance under the cab

He does, but if you're like me, and need something in between, deaver can make you custom add a leafs for the pack to help you out.
