You need aluminum soft jaws and some heat. They aren't usually too terribly tight once you get them warm. Just buy some more shock rebuilding tools while you're ordering from kartek. They always get me for more than I wanted anyways lol

I think the best method for removing shock ends is to put it into boiling water. That’s usuallybemough heat to loosen up the loctite for easy removal. And aluminum jaws are definitely the preferred way to hold shock shafts.
I have these spring tools. Did 700lb springs with no issues. https://rcagarage.com/shop/fabricat...4KmxK7YIIIWdS7hbT89D_-1NsgiK2dn4aAo_BEALw_wcB

Why do people run lift spindles with LT?

I have those same ones but the $50 Chinese ones (probably all from the same factory). They’re fantastic.

Tire and chassis clearance primarily and sometimes looks. Can only run them on 2wd trucks. The right lift spindles can also offer more strength, ie camburg or other fabricated spindles.

As mention same thing probably as spc ones. Just took springs on and off about 3 times with it and is extremely solid. Never felt dangerous.

What size bump stops is everyone running in the rear with a spring under setup?

I have King 2.0x4.0 but added a spacer to make them only a 2 inch stroke.

I’ve heard 2.0x2” is good with our trucks for the weight and up travel we’re able to get. So that’s what I went with

I’m 2.0x4. Lots of people claim they will make the rear buck. But I have not had one single bit of it. Zero complaints.

    Check My Sig.
Hydros should solve any bucking issue you may have as opposed to any rubber compound bump stop. There is literally no transfer of kinetic energy in rubber except rebound. That was my experience at least.

Never heard of bucking issues, but my complaint was they were engaging too early. Shocks still had some good travel left before getting into the bump zone. Different bypass configurations can probably benefit from the 4” bump

Mine engage shortly after the piston enters the bump zone. It’s butter. I have them at like 30PSI right now and I couldn’t ask for more
