    Or buy an MV-50 for $60, a pressure switch for $15, and a tank for $25 and put the rest in your pocket.

    Yep. That's exactly what I did. And after the third trip I had to air down, it died on me on the last tire when I was airing back up. That's about two months. The check valve flapper inside the head broke off (spring steel material). With that record, and with as often and as remote as I go off road with my two young children, I didn't want to risk getting stuck when I punctured a tire.
    As with everything, you get what you pay for. I expected my MV50 to die, and it didn't disappoint. It's good for a backup, but not as a primary or sole unit. If you're building a true OBA system, spend the money and do it right. Or do what I did and blow an extra $60 before getting a real one later anyway.

    Sounds like your tank was undersized. Heat kills any compressor, thats why most are equipped with thermal overloads to shut it down. That being said I ran dual MV-50's on a 7 gallon tank for over 2 years before the crank let go in one. Never get stranded running duals :D

    Half the manifold and the tank was at 120 psi, and half the manifold was at 90 psi for my lockers.

    How did you regulate individually? I am running one little ARB compressor right now but have another compressor on the truck and want to tie both together to a tank...

    ^^^Best picture I had. Basically tie them together with a header, branch off to the tank, then have a regulator on the header, then branch to ARB solenoids.
