Op called them "leveling" blocks. I've never heard nor seen a leveling body lift. Spacer lifts that preload the springs make the ride stiffer similar to how preloading stock springs on the Bilstein's lift the truck. Many (if not most) spacer lifts go on top of the shock pack which do not affect stiffness of ride. Blocks on the rear springs increase axle wrap but may not be on this truck depending on the leveling kit. Can't tell w/o pictures. That being noted, this type of lift is not unsafe.

Now I know what is being requested and asked for...
The owner of that blue truck...

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/2006-Toyot...ash=item41d942de30:g:pagAAOSwRLZaZOLI&vxp=mtr

said he had leveling blocks in the rear and some sort of spacers on the coils to level the truck. He said he is using the original leaf springs. The color is supposed to be an FJ color that I am not familiar with. He has those chrome wheels which are not my thing either, but new. Overall its a good looking truck paint wise.

Then there is the box stock new one:
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/2009-Toyot...ash=item284ea15c9e:g:r~oAAOSwi4laXs44&vxp=mtr
He has several outstanding recalls, but it looks like this is as stock as it comes? Also silver...lots of them out there!

Then there is this one of interest which I have not mentioned:
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/2008-Toyot...ash=item467500bc48:g:CXQAAOSwkV5aZMQx&vxp=mtr
This one has a good amount of factory options and I think its still available for the frame inspection.

Those are the several I'm looking at right now and all involve traveling. Further, most people seem to not understand what the frame settlement is about and tell me it looks fine. Have never taken it to the dealer. Further, most profess to not know what a Pre-purchase inspection is (PPI) by a mechanic. Its the first time I've encountered this sort of professed ignorance about a variety of issues. As for the PPI, just tell me what local mechanic they might know of to do this. Its like pulling teeth to get information, especially since I'm traveling to buy one.

The 2009 Silver Tacoma with the manual tranny is a good one.Forget the repaint one,and the other one has too many miles on it.

Is the price reasonable? It looks like that it within the ranges that KBB or NADA suggest.

Out of those three, I'd go with the 2009 silver one. Are you within driving distance? Definitely look at it in person before buying. Price is good as well.

Unfortunately I'm not within driving distance...well, not immediately. I'm in SC and the truck is in NJ, pretty much up across from Manhattan.

Head over to the region section, then to Northeast, then to the NJ thread. Someone may be close and may look at it for you.

I just picked up an 06 Crewcab, bright red, TRD Sport. Very well kept but its got scale on the frame. I'm going to make an appointment with Toyota to have the frame checked. All the other recalls have been performed. A couple years ago, frame was checked and they applied the CRC compound which didn't do much. Trailered the truck down from Wisconsin to SC last week. Just made it out before the blizzard, but encountered some nasty conditions leaving Wisconsin. Glad that part of the journey is done.
Truck is essentially box stock, and has some very good maintenance performed.

06 trucks have possible headgasket issues.

2009 seem to have quite a few issues.. They have the most complaints BY FAR of any year. Proceed with caution

Lower miles and not dealing with someone else's halfazz work wins in my book.

agreed. This one was put in service in July 2006. So maybe a later issue when they went to a new head gasket. I haven't found anything definitive on it, just what someone said.
This one had a very complete set of service records and did not look like someone fuji manulli'd it. Went under it today with a pick and looked at frame. Yeah, its rusty, Wisconsin truck and the black stuff is peeling off frame. Have an appointment with the dealer on Thursday. I'm not expecting much, dealer here doesn't have much experience with the issue since we are in SC.
