    Hello all,
I just bought a 2012 Tacoma 4wd to take me safely into the remote desert areas here on the western side of the country. But dang...this midsize is just too big for my comfort! So now looking to get a 1st gen Tacoma in good condition with not too terribly many miles. Shucks, am finding it really really difficult. Who knew?

Anyway, am selling my beloved 1991 VW Westfalia and now need to sell this nice (but too big) extended cab Tacoma. I'm in the San Francisco Bay area. Any takers or leads?

    Looking forward....
    The Double D's

Mine isn't officially for sale yet but I've been thinking about getting it ready to sell as I simply do not drive this vehicle anymore (maybe 2x a month when I'm feeling fancy - 900 miles since July 2018) and it's just being kept in the garage at this point... Definitely not in a hurry to sell but since you posted this, maybe you should check it out as it matches your criteria. I'm located in WA State near Seattle and will probably be overpricing this thing and be patient as I am in no hurry to sell at all since there is currently an open spot in the garage for it.

2004 Gen1 Regular Cab 4x4 2.7L Manual 5-speed. ~45,000 Miles (44,800). SUPER CLEAN AND ZERO RUST - I'm the second owner (1st was from CA and all maintenance was done at Toyota and is tracked/visible on toyota.com/owners except for the oil change I had my local mechanic shop do for me when they checked the car out after I bought it (their only comment about it was "that truck is really nice and you should sell it to us").

I bought this vehicle in July 2018 and I had the exact opposite issue as you. This thing was too small for me and the rest of the family to all fit in lol! I got a 4runner with some more cab space instead (which is why I never drive the taco anymore). This Tacoma was awesome for getting into hard to reach spots though... I drove it around the back side of my house with ease once while the tree service company was too scared to drive their full size truck around. Anyway, feel free to PM me for more details/pics if interested and if not, no worries!:

No worries DesertDame and sounds like a good plan to me!

I believe they have the X-tra cab and the double cab on top of the regular cab. X-tra cab will be good for to have a back seat for in-cab storage and still have the bed space. The double cab is a 4door and has the shorter bed.

I'll keep an eye out for any x-tra cabs that cross my path and let you know if I find something good!
