hi guys, new to the board. i live in california and drive a 99' tacoma 4x2. i would like to replace the steel wheels with a set of alloys. i'm looking for 16" alloys. i was wondering if alloys from other toyota models like camry, highlander, etc., or lexus models like gs300, etc., will fit tacoma 4x2. from what i know, the bolt patterns are the same (5x4.5) but i'm not sure about the offset. any info or feedback is appreciated.

rims,tires,3"/6" drop, 4x4 front end, 01 tails and corners, prerunner buckets, tenzo r steering wheel w/ momo hub, b&m shifterw/ jdm trd knob, alpine system, tint, 3 3/4" autometer tach, jardine cat back, k&n, debaged, hellwig rear sway bar, kyb monomax shocks, tundra v8 oil filter w/ mobil 1 in ever
you can use lexus wheels but you need to have the hubs bored out to 67.1mm to fit the tacoma hubs. you can try and find some 16" s-runner rims too, they are direct bolt on.

    2001 - 2004 S-Runner rims (alloys; 16X6.5; +30mm offset) might be an option.

Does anyone know if the 5 bolt wheels from a Highlander would work for a 2001 2wd tacoma?

The earlier Highlander wheels wheels will not bolt onto a 99. You have to enlargen the center bore. The center bore of the Highlander wheels measures 60.1mm and the tacoma wheels have a 67.1mm center bore on the 95-04's. That can be done for you at a wheel shop or machine shop.
