You will lose some bed space due to the roll up. What do you plan on trying to hide from prying eyes back there?

It is important to know how you plan to use it most of the time, and also those rare situations that come up once in a while.

Example....to keep expensive tools safe on a daily basis, or keep Christmas gifts out of sight once a year etc.

I had a tyger roll up bed cover at first was good at keeping most of the rain out and got it used for $140 but i think was $180 on Amazon which is still pretty cheap had it on for about 6 months then found someone selling their soft top and got that on there now. Roll up cover was nice but i used my bed to pick up supplies all the time so having to roll up the cover everytime was a hassle but for the price wasn’t too bad

I went MX4 BAKFlip and am happy with it. Quick and easy to remove if needed. With the pop n lock I just installed, it’s as secure as it can be.

I do frequent hauling/moving of wood or boxes so got a roll up cover to get the maximum amount of space out of the six foot bed.

I went back and forth between soft rollup and trifold. In the end, I opted for a Lomax trifold. Watching other trucks on the interstate, the soft tonneaus bounce around like crazy (it's possible they just aren't pulled tight enough). I'll never have that problem with the Lomax since it's aluminum.

Price, security, weather protection and longevity must be considered. Bakflip G2 is the way to go in my opinion.

Coming soon: Compact powered sub install Future mods planned: bigger tires (265/75/16) BILLSTIEN 5100 lift
How dry does the Lomax keep the bed? I been looking at that one and a few truxedo roll ups. The thing is I'm going to be moving from an SUV and not sure how often I'm going to want the full bed to be open for taller things. I see now it will likely be a big trunk for me mostly so that's why I was thinking the Lomax.

The tyger roll up tonneau i had was fairly good didn’t flap a lot when properly velcroed down and had minor leaks mainly in the corners where there is a gap and my bestop i like a lot unfortunately it’s not as watertight as i wish it would be, if they had made it 2-3” longer in length that may help with covering edge of the the tailgate but i like the ability to fold it down when i need to load large items into the truck
