    For all you guys with Quicksand beauties out there looking for color matched paint, look no further!

    Ive painted multiple items with great success so far using Rustoleum "Gloss Khaki" protective enamel. It sells for about $4 at Lowes or Home Depot and is just about spot on for color, and provides a very durable finish. Im loving it....

    I was about to do the same, but figured id give a $4 can a try first before dropping $40 and waiting a week. It turned out awesome and i never even thought about ordering again. But, I'm sure the AutomotiveTouchUp paint will be even better.

    Never said it was.... "Just about spot on" was used. Just trying to target the guys looking for color matched paint. Appreciate it though. :cheers:

    I'm only trying to do my dash like yours so the rustoleum would probably work fine but I think I'll make use of my $40 paint since it's already on the way. I do like the idea of random stuff to match the truck, I have a hydro-flask that I'm going to do for sure after seeing yours!

    Painted my chrome bumper caps with this color. Looks like a 95% color match against the rest of the body. Very happy with the results overall (aside from the fact that I didn't do enough sanding - and may have to re-sand and repaint to get a smoother finish). Can post pics if anyone is interested...

    It's just a hair lighter than the OEM paint, but it's close!

    I used gray sandable primer - maybe black primer might darken the paint up just a shade to match OEM?

    Either way - I'm happy!

    I got my automotive touchup order in Friday and did my dash bezels. I was extremely impressed with the results. I had a can of the rustoleum gloss khaki I wanted to compare too and will do that tonight and post results tomorrow. The one thing I really think the automotive touchup will have over the rustoleum will be the clear coat! My bezels shine like a brand new automotive paint. A more in depth report with pics tomorrow!

    I did the same as @brendanwebster911 pictured above. I love it, but I have already noticed some extra glare when the sun shines right.

    I have a rather different and strange outcome to my test, but here it is.
    596.jpgRustoleum "gloss kakhi" and automotive touchup's OEM match and clear
    598.jpgUsed a piece of masking tape to cover half of the spray-out sheet provided by automotive touch up. I did 5 passes with the color, 5 passes with the clear
    600.jpgI compared it to my hood and grille here. It looks MUCH darker than OEM but I went ahead and did my bezels anyways because you would never see them against the truck. Same can, sprayed the at the same time, the bezels looked VERY much lighter and closer to OEM. Why? Got me :notsure:
    604.jpg Covered the automotive touchup side and sprayed the Rustoleum. WOW what a difference!
    Okay, this where it gets weird. Now my bezels are installed and here is the spray-out next to my bezels.
    IMG_2172.jpg IMG_2173.jpgYou would think that lighter shade side is what the bezels were sprayed with, nope the light side is the rustoleum. The darker shade is what I sprayed, the automotive touch up can & clear.
    I have couple things I wouldn't mind spraying to mach the truck and maybe I'll get better results on something other than a piece of paper. I can say the bezels were A LOT closer than the paper and I should have taken a picture of them on the truck. The best part of the automotive touch up is the clear!! The rustoleum just doesn't shine the same. I'm going o leave this review as a, to be continued... or until I run out of paint to compare.

    That's not the same paint. It HAS to be this one. IMG_1191.jpg Many have tried that version with no luck. That are both "gloss Khaki" but the colors are very different
