    Hey Folks,
I will be needing new tires before winter. I have Michelin LTX M/S2's 265/75-16 now. I would like something more aggressive looking, but really need to get good mileage and be good in snow. I have to get to work regardless of the weather and most of that drive is on the highway. I do very little off roading.

I'm loving the BFG Commercial T/A traction tires. I can honestly say they saved me big time last winter and they're an 80k tire. [IMG]

These things are HEAVY, they will kill your MPG's.

Fair enough. My truck is so slow it doesn't even notice the extra weight.

Every do it all choice is a compromise of something. Forget the look and buy what works.

Michelins for hwy use/mpg, cheap steel wheels with real snow tires like Nokian or Bliztrack for snow periods.

Aggressive tread may help mske you go in snow, but it will never stop like a winter tire. Its why you see all the 4wd yahoos in the ditch on TV news. Stopping is good.
