Looking for Group: NOVA - Flagpole Knob/Wheel/Camp

Good evening NOVA folks,

Looking for some additions to my little group trip up to Flagpole Knob in Virginia.

Currently only got a couple people signed up. Be advised, it will be, hopefully, my first wheeling adventure in the truck. Not experienced except for HMMVs, which we just threw into whatever half the time.

I live in Leesburg. The trip is about two hours-ish from me. Got another guy from the TTE facebook group going with who is the "guide". He has some friends.

We plan on camping from the 27th till that Sunday. Threeday weekend FTW.

Veterans, Drinkers and Tacomas is the crowd. Anyone is welcome. Have not had much luck finding people who want to go, but I am trying to squeeze what is left of fair weather out of this year, before the twelve feet of snow hits the coast.

I might join for the trail ride but wont be able to camp as my boy will have a football game saturday morning. I only live 20 mins from there.

@fatfurious2 I would like to find people who are willing to camp. That way, they can recover my stock tires if I get stuck coming down haha.

I put it in the nova thread but some of those guys are going to sleepy creek that weekend. I think the wife and I may go hit this sunday for the views. We were planning on running bald mtn but might do flagpole instead or who knows we just might do both.

I'd love to but a few of us are actually doing Sleepy Creek on the 28th.

 

If you don't mind camping on the ground like a peasant then I have a tent you can borrow.

 

How are the leaves down by you? While passing through the Shenandoah last weekend most the leaves still looked green.

I have a hammock. But if anything shows from Green Ridge, is that Id rather sleep in the cab.

Yo yo! Whats up with the Sleepy Creek joint? Would that be a more viable option for everyone?

 

I haven't been before but it looks fun from the pics. I think a few guys are planning on camping as well. I'm just going down for the day.
