I'm around 30k miles on my 2012 taco and the tire tread is almost dead on my stock tires. I've been looking into some new tires with more of an agressive look that will fit the stock oem 16" rims, not looking for anything crazy big because I dont feel like lifting it yet. Any advice on what tires I should get?

p265/75/16 is about as big as you can go. I would not go with LT tire because of weight of tire and your rims are 7" wide, plus you will lose about 1 mpg. this tire usually comes in both P and LT in about every brand, depending how much offroading you do, if mostly on road go with AT tire. I've personally used Cooper ST, Bridgestone Revo, and Goodyear ATS in C range because only maker in the size I run 275/70/17. my son runs the Firestone Destination AT in P265/75/16 on his 2005 Tacoma

Yep, 265/75/R16 is the biggest you can go without a lift to avoid rubbing issues.

Lots of people on here at Nitto Terra Grapplers. Good for on and off road that wont break the bank.

cooper at3 is a great combination of on/off-road capabilities while offering aggressive looks and performs well in the snow...not to mention 50,000 tread wear warranty

Terra Grapplers are cool but I have had pretty bad expiriences with them offroad even for an AT tire.

I would recomend 265/75/16 bfg all terrains, goodyear duratracs, or Dick Cepek Radial FC-II

I researched the hell out of tires for the last month. Very nearly bought the Cooper AT3s, but after reading the reviews online, and reading a couple bad experiences that members have had with Cooper, it seemed like there was a trend that they could be hard to balance, or go out of balance. I wound up going with Michelin AT2s. I've only had them a few days, but so far I think I've made the right choice for a primarily highway vehicle. There is a 70 dollar rebate on a set of four through the end of the month.

If looks matter, the Michelins look a lot tougher in person than they do in pics.
