ok i've been looking at uca for a bit now, and now i'm wondering if i need them. i'm going to end up with a 3" lift up front in a week or so, and i figured since i'm going to have the front end apart i might as well get som uca if i'll need them. now i'm looking at the LR ones, but i'm not sure. all i know is that i want to be able to get it in alignment specs after the new lift, and i don't really want to spend an arm and a leg. so any idea would be great.

I just lifted my 04 Taco 4X4 SR5 with a toytec 3 in ultimate. I got the alignment done yesterday and all the numbers came in no problem. So you don,t always have to have UCAs on a first gen.

Clearance for big tires can be done with the backspace on the rim to keep it away from the stock UCA, if you are going to put big tires on it.

Here is the numbers on the alignment if you are interested

well thats good to know that will save me some money, as for clearance the tires i'm getting should be no problem because i'm getting 255/85r16 maxxis bighorns, which measure out to like a 33.5x10 tire so it's a little skinnier then my stock 265/70's

Those tires will look good and will stay off the UCA.

well i just got this email from toytec when i emailed them to ask if they made them for 1st gen.

"This is a brand new product and we are test fitting them on our 2000 4Runner today so the install instructions can be finalized. We expect to have them in stock at the introductory price of $429.99 a set. They have a sealed boot and they are fully adjustable unlike most others for camber and caster.
We will have these in stock by the first of the year if not next week. "

Nice. It must be pretty new cause I was just on the light racing web page and they only had 2nd gens. and that was less than a week ago.
