Looking at Tacoma's after owning a Ranger and Nissan p-up. Interested in hearing from the group about the 2.7L 4 cyl engine. How well does it handle the demands of hauling materials. With a payload of around 1300 lbs, can get it handle the challenge? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I can say that Phantom is spot on, but i would have no reservations getting a I-4 taco. This is a big decision, and a lot of money, take your time, enjoy the research, it's a buyers market, the ball is in your court, don't think of what will work now, but what you might need in the future, kids? dogs? wife? GF ? maybe both wife and GF
