looking to buy a trd supercharger

Anyone know cheapest place to order one dealer here wants 5500$ for it PLUS 1200$ TO INSTALL IT . What other mods should i do exhaust , cai ?

do some research on the supercharger on TW and or TacomaNation, you will find that some people have installed the TRD CAI. TRD says not to install the CAI with the supercharger, something to do with emissions i think.

if i were getting the supercharger i would do the CAI and exhaust.

 

I saw it on ebay it was alot cheaper than the dealership

 

yeah im seeing them for 3950 on ebay with the fit kit . anyone have a problem with the dealer installing one bought online

 

You won't save much if any using a dealer....BTDT with a set of TRD headers. They will charge you normal install price plus the profit on the s/c they would normally get.....although how they put that on paper may differ.

 

i have a 2009 with the trd super charger and trd exhaust ibeen ruinningitfir 8 months noproblams it was dealer installed

 

Get the APR X1 first before the TRD S/C. This way you don't have to get the dealer ECU reflash.

There is a good seller on ebay that has the TRD S/C for under $3K. Some guys over on XRU dealt with him and had good success. Sorry I don't know the seller.

if i drive nice i get alittle better then stock but i never drive nice and am always pulling a enclosed trailer with snowmobiles or quads and then it really sucks the fuel

 

ive tried writing the guy on ebay a bunch of times no responce

 

mine is 14 with the 2.8 pulley and 285s

Also as linked before, check out the URD kit. You'll make more power, quite a bit more.

 

yeah he is a dick. i order one from him a month ago and still have not received it and he wont answer my emails.

 

like the urd supercharger but like how the trd keeps the factory warrenty

 

I have the TRD and get between 18 and 19 mpg, not under town conditions.
