Hey TW! As stated in the title I am looking into buying a new head unit for my 09 Taco. I have the JBL system with Bluetooth, some aftermarket head units offer but do not require a Bluetooth adapter so my question is being that I have factory Bluetooth do I need to buy the Bluetooth adapter? By the way I'm looking to buy a double din head unit. I'm obviously new to this and would like some input I have searched through many threads for my question and could not find a single answer that helped. thanks in advance!

Had a pioneer double din with Bluetooth in my 06. liked it aiot. In the process of changing out my 09's jbl system with a pioneer touch screen DD. No Bluetooth. Going to add it later tho and hopefully use the built in microphone up at the mirror

How much are you looking to spend is another question. But a lot of after market HU's are made to be highly customizable..I have a pioneer avh-p4300dvd. There are variations of it which would have Bluetooth. Or you could just buy the mic for it.

It's all a matter of how good of quality you want and where you want to see a mic. I've seen a setup where they have it mounted on the steering wheel.. Well the part that doesn't move. But it's all up to you. Trial and error.

Up by the rear view mirror-overhead console works well for me on a Pioneer X930BT.
