I just got an estimate on my 2009 Tacoma TRD Sport dbl cab from Allard Collision here in Chandler. I just want a paint job because my hood, roof, fender flares, and tops of the doors are all sun damaged. It is Speedway Blue

No body work at all needed. it was over $5000. I about fell over. That wasnt even touching the pickup box and hard shell tonneau cover. Im not looking for an Earl Scheib job or Maaco but something somewhat decent. I was thinking somewhere in the neighborhood of $2000.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Get quotes from other shops?

$3k would be a closer number for a good shop here.

That's about right for price. Just the gallon of 8P1(speedwayblue-met) runs about $700. Then you still need clear/hardener/reducer. And that paint isn't gonna just put it's self on the truck... It's not to expensive, you're just to cheap

Local shop here wanted 2k to repaint my super white taco. That’s clear coated. I imagine the paint is cheaper than yours though.
