Thanks for the fact-check. Maybe I got confused with the Canadians not being able to get a DC OR? (or do I misremember that also?)

So let's give him one more mpg, but take one because the truck is black and he has to run the AC all the time. Or, because he's not re-calculating based on the larger tires.

Maybe it's been at the dealer but they keep sitting on it because they can't find anything wrong (because there is nothing wrong?). If the dealer has really had it for that many days, they need to just tell him it's normal and let things go from there (lawsuit/good-will settlement/everyone-walk-away-mad/whatever). It could be something like a bad fan clutch, leaking injector, or a dragging brake, but it seems like they would have checked for all that.

To be fair, I'd be upset if I only got 13mpg. Though, I think I could see that number if I only drove short trips and drove hard. Mine is in the single digits for a while in the morning.

I bet my SnugTop weighs as much as 3 or 4 of those bags of salt.

Do you have noting better to do then go in every thread and try to blame everything on all of these "so called issues" that the 16s have. You don't even have a 16 and you've made it abundantly clear how much you haven't liked them on your test drives. Maybe the fact he's running larger Duratracs or that he has to contend with stop and go California traffic where you sit on the freeway for hours. Just because a couple of loud members on here have some problems doesn't mean that everyone does.

I'm stock TRD offroad and I get 19 doing my city drive commute which is often stops and go. I have to drive up and down a few very steep spots requiring some stomping on the throttle. Pre break in I was closer to 15/17. I have gotten as much as 27 on long road trips. Better mileage than the old subaru it replaced and my wife's SUV and its a fcking truck with decent stock off road capabilities.

Any chance its due to being a long bed with no cover hauling shit and not past the break in period? + driving in ECT mode with a lead foot with 4low on at all times rev'd to red line?

probably related to BlueT. Guy is an idiot crying about MPG when his bed is full of crap and he has over sized tires from factory size what does he think is going to happen.

Does no one read the EPAs disclaimer on the monroney? There is no guarantee when it comes to fuel efficiency, It is simply a benchmark.

Exactly! I can't keep myself from staring at it in the parking lot and it brings a smile to my face and makes my pants tight every time I drive it.

Nope no butthurt just tired of all of the trolls in the 3rd gen forum who have nothing better to do. It would be like us 3rd gen guys going into the 1st and 2nd gen to talk a bunch of shit about how crappy their trucks are.
