When I bought my Tacoma the bed was loose.... well the forward passenger side you could grab a hold of and bounce it probably 1/4 to 1/3 of an inch I tried to tighten the bolt down and it seemed like it was already bottomed out. So I took it to the dealer the next day after I figured all this out and they told me it was missing a spacer and they "Fixed it". Fast forward 4 months and my bed is clunking again due to the same issue I haven't tried to tighten it back down yet but I did look for the "spacer" they said it was missing and could not see any spacer between the bed mount and the frame that the dealer said was missing and they installed. Has any one else had an issue with the bed bolts/spacers and is there a more permanent fix as the bed clunking is driving me nuts and I don't want to go through this every 4 months.

    Thanks

Yes it can if you use the right wording in the search. Obviously I didn't find it. Thank you for your reply and assistance. And just to be clear there are 485 results for loose bed in the search function unless you know the exact title you could be on here quite some time trying to find the right thread. This forum is great for information I just wish people would be more understanding and less aggravated with someone asking a question. I am sure there is an answer for just about everything on here if you look hard enough some times its easier to possibly re ask a question than to spend hours trying to find the right answer that is why we are all on a message board for anyways right. To assist those that may not have the knowledge or were not part of a previous thread.
Once again thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

Here you go, a more accurate search feature that works on any website

goto google.com and search this: "Site: www.xxxxxxxxx.com : search criteria"

    Example:
    https://www.google.com/search?q=site:+www.tacomaworld.com+:+loose+bed&rlz=1C1GGRV_enUS751US751&oq=site:+www.tacomaworld.com+:+loose+bed&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i58.9870j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

If you had mentioned in your original post that you did use the search function and came up empty, Clearwater Bill probably wouldn’t have responded the way he did. Many folks come here without doing so and sometimes it irks people, understandably.

Wish I could help you with your bed problem, good luck.
