Have a 2020 TRD Pro that’s about 2 months old. While washing it today I noticed the fog lights were slightly loose in the housing. I don’t know if I’ve just never noticed before and it’s normal or if it’s an issue.

Both sides have about the same amount of play.

they are held by one screw, but without a video we wouldn't know how much play you have.

That doesn't sound right, I'd think they're flickering/distracting others on the road.

That doesn’t sound right ... I’d have the dealership look at it.

Ok, checked again it’s about 1/4” up and down. Also, swung by the Toyota dealership on way home and checked a new Pro on the lot and it had same amount of play. It’s not floppy loose but slight pressure either way and it will move that 1/4”. I’ll probably call service department to see what they say.

Not a pro, but I shut my hood the other day and heard a bang, thought wtf? When I looked at the front of my truck I noticed my passengers side fog light wasn’t there. The screw fell out the back. I put a new screw in and it’s been fine ever since. I don’t think my headlights have that much play. But they def wiggle a little

If you look or have taken out the foglights, they're not secured by 3 or 4 screws. It's one. The other side tabs is slid into a groove and held there so there is a bit of play. Other side is attached by 1 screw.
Everything is reachable from top . All those stupid YouTube videos are too dramatic.
Remember, ALWAYS screw in with fingers first.

Yeah I haven't had time to get in there and check. It gets dark so damn early now. I saw that Tundras have a similar issue, but didn't see anything on Tacomas. I'll try to check in there tomorrow and see if that screw is loose or what.

Happened to my 2020 Pro as well while installing the amber Rigid lens covers. As stated above, it's one screw and two slide in tabs. Pop the trim off and you'll see where's it's loose. Just pop the tabs back into place and you're done.

I would seriously have dealer fix the looseness since you just got it.

You don't need to remove the covers. Pop the hood, look down from the top and see if the one screw is tight if so then pop the covers off and see if they are in the slots. One may have come loose or out of the slot.

I'm sure you're not ILLEGALLY driving with your fogs on!

Just kidding I have my on all the time, surely they'll give me a warning the first time?

While not recommended usually, I'm pretty sure that driving with them on all the time is not illegal everywhere, certainly not enforced most everywhere I've been.
