I agree with above. Take her to the vet, they can help her for a lot less than $2000 dollars, I call bull shit on that. I don't doubt that you don't care about her, but man, you have to take it on the chin and get her some help, sounds like she's suffering.

Take her to a vet! Maybe it's an extra $300 bucks to make her comfortable and hydrate her......If you don't want to go intravenous they can put saline under the skin and it's absorbed.

Don't keep posting on how your dog is slowly dying in your garage but you won't take it to a vet..........I don't want to hear about stuff like that, like to be ignorant of it.

Get another VET! There are plenty up there where you live including 24 hour care, at least keep her comfortable.

I agree with everyone else, try to get another vet. Call everyone you can in the phone book. Also keep plenty of water around her to keep her hydrated and hopefully she can puke it out of her system.

I would keep calling until i found someone that can help.

If all you called was that one vet, you need to try a hell of a lot harder than that.

Sorry to hear it, that really sucks. Labs will eat anything and I have to keep a keen eye on mine to keep her out of trouble. They are such good companions.

Again, I am sorry for your loss.

In the beginning God created heaven and earth
In these first 6 days he created man...and animal equally
On the seventh day when he looked at his work he realized that man and animal were different
In this difference God realized he had to make a distinction between so began driving a great chasm to separate them
When man saw what was happening he turned to the animal kingdom and shouted "jump across...jump across"
Only Dog jumped across to serve by man's side forever...

    Amen

It is true...all dogs do go to heaven!

A little advice a little too late. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Have your vets and emergancy vets on speed dial.
There is insurance you can get. $20-$30 a month. VPI is good.

    Get this book.
    http://www.amazon.com/Dog-Owners-Home-Veterinary-Handbook/dp/0470067853
Not only does it cover how to induce vomiting and when but it also covers all the poisonous plants. (this info can be found on the internet as well). It's good to have it on hand in an emergency.

For example Sago Palms.. extremely toxic to dogs and humans.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cycas_revoluta
We have a lot of people that put these things in their yards here in Houston.

I have the third edition of the book above and it has saved my pups a few times as well as a costly visit to the vet.

I have two labs. One of which is always gunning to eat anything and everything.

Again, I'm sorry for your loss. I know the secret bond that forms between a man and his pup all too well.

But honestly this situation was handled horribly. Should have headed to the vet right when you noticed something was very wrong.

Sorry to hear that.. Sometimes I think Vets have less of a heart than regular doctors.
I at least seem to found one that cares and will work things out with you.
I dread the day i have to make the decision to put down my bulldog.
