Tomorrow night, is Sand Drags night.. so I'll be keeping an eye on boost via my gauge and Torque. Should he decent temps.. so I'm hoping for a little more this visit. That.. plus need to finally try the new Gears...

That’s true. I used to see almost the same boost with stock pulley/stock headers/y-pipe than now with 2.85”/Spec-U headers/custom equal length y-pipe. Less exhaust pressure = less stress on the engine, I like.

I try... just so happens I'm pulling the tent and bedrack today too for powdercoat Finally... So that should free up around 250 lbs. :D

Nice, mine is pretty much the same setup, except my Y is just a standard high clearance. I'm running an oiled OEM style filter (but removed the Secondary) with my snorkel. The snorkel is a big factor for sure.. no doubt I sacrificed some psi there.. but the clean air is so much more worth it to me here in AZ. I can actually make it through a trip without throwing codes and having to stop and clean my filter. One trip it actually put the truck into limp mode. Tons of restriction tho.. off the line, unless im purposely loading the converter, takes a good while to get going.. the throttle response is just bad.. lol. Gotta suck in alllll that air in the beginning through a damn straw..

Been wondering about trying one of those throttle improvment gimicky things. Lol

I have some older videos on YouTube. I need to get another GoPro tho.. I usually just go for the fun of it and the obvious bragging rights.. lol I'll try to get some video tonight tho.. cuz the truck should be quicker than usual..

 of course on sand drags night...

Not even 3 months old... Snapped on my way to Discount to get a balance of all things. Truck was driving like shit.. low on power.. no codes, gauges and Torque read ok.. but didn't notice the obvious lack of boost... Belt was popped off when I pulled into discount.. I started tearing into into the get the belt off and back on.. get the skid off.. and notice this guy sitting on the lower cross member.

If you are interested in a used on that works fine, i got one real cheap. If you have to buy one that is.

Appreciate it.. I'm making them cover it. I ziptied the belt out of the way and limped it to the dealer. It's getting replaced today... Then back to the drags! Lol

Yeeeeeah. Back home now. They replaced it for me... I hate the dealer... especially this one.. but the service advisor always helps me out. I haven't had to pay for either of these tensioners. They didn't put my blower belt back on tho... Since it's a shorter non oem belt.. and they actually put the blame on that. That it was smaller and had too much tension. I said that's it's job... Oh well. I'm gonna put the Toyota belt back on for tonight just to play it safe. In the meantime.. I sent an email to this company who makes solid machined aluminum tensioners. Hoping they can make me one..

Yet this seems like a very basic thing for Toyota to have mastered a long time ago.

    Uno momento.
