Hello all, I'm at a loss. I just added a Gentex mirror with home link to my 2019 Tacoma. I had to change the plug, and must have grounded the 12v constant. Now my door locks key less entry hazards and dome lights don't work with out ignition on. all work fine with ignition on except the remote for locks. I have checked all fuses in both interior and engine compartment and even the 2 on body control module and all tested good. Am i missing anything would hate to have to bring it back to dealer and play dumb.. Thanks for any help

How did you test all the fuses? Did you pull them and check continuity without them being plugged in?

You tested well, as for locations, I only know of the two- under driver’s dash and engine compartment.

    But check here for ideas:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/help-locating-fuses.398716/

There are a lot of quirks with our electric systems, I posted a mod to add switched and full time power from the overhead console for a dash cam, but the full time power made the DRL’s stop running (didnt blow the fuses). And other people added LED’s and blew the console circuits.

Probably the best thing to do now is to set it back to stock and go forward from there.

    Sorry I wasn’t much help.

Hey- does it work if you just unplug the mirror?

Did you disconnect the battery while working on the electrical?

Remove Negative terminal from battery...wait..(have a Cerveza):violent:...then replace fuse with known good one. Reinstall ground terminal to battery, verify. Report back:burp:

@caribe makaira is the master of electrical on here! I gotta admit though, sometimes his knowledge is WAY above my head and understanding.

You are very fortunate, the "fix" would've been $400.00 +....
