Well despite this being my first post I am already addicted to TW. Anyways I noticed last night that my front drivers side mud flap is missing. Not sure how that happened, but does anyone know where I can get a new one? trucks look kinda weird with 3 mud flaps...

Good excuse to take off the front ones, and shorten the rears. OR, you can just yank them all off :D

I say take them off too!

I was parked in a ditch while deer hunting this year and when i pulled off i realized my left rear mudflag broke in half! haha looks bad ass without the mud flaps.

The second Gen. mud flaps are weak... even the weight of mud will rip them off while four wheeling. The main cause is pinching the flap and tire when falling into a rut or backing out of a bog... The first Gen. flaps were much better...

The only thing that IDs our Tacomas with 4WD of having 4WD are the rear mud flaps.... Why don't we get a 4WD chrome plaque like the Tundras have?

To anybody that has had their flaps off for a while now: have you noticed any paint damage/chips due to rocks flying up that aren't being blocked by the flap? My front passenger one broke off a long time ago and I don't really care how it looks with 3 but I am hesitant to take the others off. Especially the back ones, don't wanna be throwin too many rocks lol

Keep in mind your local laws, many states require vehicles of x height to have rear mud flaps.

I read somewhere on here that people have used some type of 3M clear tape to help protect the areas where they throw rocks up. I still think it'd look better with them off, I just need to find time to take mine off.

I have mine off. I've definitely gotten a bunch of chips from it but I have to to clear my tires. If anyone wants some factory 2nd gen flaps, check out the for sale link in my sig.
