Just got back from the vet and had to put my Labrador to sleep today. She had a large tumor in her stomach and it ruptured. It was completely unexpected she was just jumping around, playing and just enjoying life yesterday. Even when i got back from work last night around midnight i checked on her and she seamed fine. I just cant believe how hard its hitting me i was there when she was born at my house March 20, 1999 and she has been my best friend throughout middle school, high school and collage. its just really hard to loose a family member.

    RIP Bridget.

Buddy, my heart is broken for you. There is little worse than losing your best friend...i had to put Magnum down July 6th of this year. He was my 15 year old German Shepherd...was with me in college, my marriage and my first two kids. I miss him every night when I go to bed, wake up in the morning and come home from work. My prayers are with you 100000%

Sorry for your loss. Nothing more I can say.

I can tell she was a happy dog from that great picture. You did the right thing. Just remember the happy times you had with her. It will get easier. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Pets truly are family. That you feel this way shows how much you've cared for her. I'm sure she had a wonderful life!

The happy dog picture is worth re-posting. :)
