ha nah Monte no jumps... but it is cheap insurance in my mind. 35 bux and a little welding vs a bent $300 spindle.

the whole point of the flip is more clearance on the bottom of the axle correct? ive only gently scratched the lower shock mounts.... plus the shock relocate is more work than i wanna do right now...

I was bored today so I ordered a new rigging line from Viking. I did not realize that tree saver I had was so frayed.

so had a few probems with the winch the other day wheeling.... my lever wouldnt turn all the way to disengage... also it was making some not so settling noises.

so... i pulled it all apart:D
found extremely dirty grease. mostly moab clay thanks to kanes creek.... but there was some grease still there. i removed all the planetary units and cleaned them all and relubricated everything with new grease. wasnt nearly as hard as i figured itd be. i used a little fipg going back together so water may not get into it so easily this time.

Wow, what a difference! the lever moves flawlessly now, and the gear noise was cut in half if not more.... very pleased with this maintenance. now im prepared for some recoveries in Moab:cool:

I really like your build man. I want to do the things you are doing! Honestly Ive had terrible luck with both the LBJ breaking so this summer I want to do some up front work so there not so much stress on them. Im scared shitless to wheel hard in it now

I'm hoping they get more rain/snow out there this year as Kanes was barely a trickle last year. 6-8 inches deep at most. I will certainly run it again if they've got the water.
