i havent seen a truck with the 3 link kit yet.... their sas kits using leaves are working very well. most things i hear are the springs they make are really stiff.... alot of people say to buy a softer spring set. when i do mine, im gonna do leaf springs with both chromoly axle housings and a crawl box. just needa house and a tow rig first:D

based on what i seen the older trucks do, i think the chromoly housings is all a guy needs if you want to stick to 37's :D

I think probably bite the bullet and get a chromoly front axle with 3 link and just leave the rear lead sprung for now. and swap the rear axle

Joe, I don't have firsthand experience but from what i hear, the TG 3link kit has a fair amount of rear steer when flexed. The links are too short and the axle will pivot fhen flexed. Take that with a grain of salt, I'm just sharing what I've heard from others. I think the issue could be solved by modifying the links and making them longer, but that could mean that other crap has to move to get the link ends in the right place.

links will always steer more than leaf springs no?

That's a blanket statement. There's shitty link geometry and shitty leaf geometry.
    All about design and install.

it is i agree... im just saying the way links work and the way leaf springs work, links tend to steer more, they also articulate more

Again it's all geometry and depends on what kind of link setup you do.
The roll center with dead nuts strait lower links will run at the height of where an imaginary intersection of the upper links and paralell to the lower links (in which case would typically have upward angle on them toward the front of the truck). This setup would give you more roll center.

Just aim for a flat roll axis and it won't really be an issue. Dual traingulated link setup is the easiest way to achieve it. If you haven't, download the link calculator and play around with it.

Only if the links are very short. But you will also see excessive rear steer with short leaf springs. It's simply not as obvious, since they don't have the ability to articulate as much as a typical linked suspension.

Jason hit the nail on the head! Dual triangulated 4-link is easy to get very close to zero rear steer.

how many rigs have dual triangulated 4 links? this is why i haven't seen a link system not rear steer lol
