I welded Mike's bumps to his new ubolt plates. We found his leafs would bind and not really let them compress all the way anyways..

but if i could do it..probably do it like how jason has it.

I wouldn't bother welding bumps on to the ubolt plate. Just get a bolt in bump, drill a hole on the perch that's sitting on the frame and bolt the bump in. No muss no fuss. Something like this:

Nice! Now that I have a tap set I might just thread the flip kit plate and install those. Thanks Jason you saved me time today!

Hate to say it after you got all mushy on me me....but that won't work.
The plate has a hole in the middle already for the centering pin of the leafs. You can't really drill/tap anywhere else on the flip kit plate either.
Excuse my 2nd gen naiveness , but can you drill the frame and mount the bump on the frame instead like i was suggesting for Jace?

:facepalm:Completely forgot about that. I have had the stock bumps welded to the flip kit since I installed it so I forget about that hole being there. But yeah I can do the same at the frame and just grind my stock bumps off of the plate.

Great now you just doubled my time. :p

Mine does it too from time to time. I swear it is the relay. Just haven't taken the time to research it.

    Welcome to HID....
I don't exactly understand it. My Tundra has some cheap ass Chinese ebay HID lights in both the headlights and fogs since 2006...and still running strong. I've been through 2 bulbs and at had at least 3 ballasts go bad in the Tacoma.

did a lot of HID diagnostics this year...all because the harness

hard wire to the battery from the ballast to see if they work...if they work fine, most likely the harness..

i'll give you my ghetto headlight switch setup if you want to run that and bypass the harness :D

and yeah i know just gotta diagnose it, everything should well be within warranty. im really thinkin its the bulbs, once i get it to "light" itll stay on fine. but when its warming up its alot bluer of color than the good bulb. time will tell. and thanks Jason, we'll see what happens. isses me off thoughyou know, expensive kit lasted only a year with out problems.
