I first want to see Slapps LEDs In his FJ before I am sold on the light production. Well and I also have to see if they would fit in the truck with the group 31 battery that is going in.

i was impressed with them...saw his install..i have photos at home i'll have to sort through

i like my HID setup better, but it's much better than halogen...if i didn't already have so much money invested in my setup, i would look into it as well...not sure how they would work in projectors either

im excited:) still trying to figure out how to compress the rear suspension-both sides at thesame time. that way i can position the rear bumps correcty so they end up hittin the ubolt flip in the center........

i was even thinkin about forklifting a pallet full of heavy shit into the bed for a few minutes..... then tackin the bumps in.

    ideas?

Same time? I am not certain that would be completely accurate. With side to side flex doesn't the axle move some to where you contact point would be a bit further out?

I am just brain storming so shoot all kinds of holes in my theory. But for a reference point I simply tacked the factory stops to the top of my AP flip kit and they may perfect contact with the frame. No science involved in that one. :D

im welding the bumps the the frame not the u bolt flip. i thougt about that too.... im concerened about where the bumps contact under full compression both sides and during flex.... flexing is easy, compressing both sides all the way is tricky. it simulates higher speed bumps

You also relocated your axle too so it will be harder then a regular set up. I wonder if you could mount that bump perpendicular to the frame. That way you have the side to side motion of the axle covered and all you have to figure out is where on the frame. it would look funky but might be functional. :D

i dont think perpendicular is gonna happen.... im looking for best olf both worlds during flex and duringfull compression. the weight inthebed is my only idea?

OK. I need to get some pavers for a project at the house. You can pick up a pallet of them for me and I am sure that will weight your bed down enough to figure out the full compression mark. :D

i flexed on the lift today, seems like if i mountthe, bumps pretty centered on the frame it should hit the top plate of the ubolt flip just fine. not sure how im gonna mount the bump tho to the frame.... the little stub comin off the frame where the stock bump hits is way too skinny....

got my front bumps in tho! had to drill out the front two. drilled a hole on the bottom of the arm and stuck my socket with the nut through the bottom. adjusted the bumps up a little taller with washers. The back ones were easy to come out. just retapped the holes for the correct thread pitch and screwed in the new bumps:D
Now i need a few good bumps or something to hit with speed!!!!!

    ...too much shit to list.
So just wondering...did you stack more washers on the front bumps? They are supposed to be longer than the rear bumps so they both hit the LCA at the same time. Look at your factory ones, they are different sizes.

uup i noticed that. i have 2 washers on the front ones and 1 washer on the rear. theyhit atthe same time. assuming they hit at all. ran out of time to test them. im gonna put a dab of grease oneach one and go send her over some speed bumps. if the grease squished, they hit:D
