well moab was another great year! ran a short version throughbehind the rocks Wednesday, did a little desert mobbin on dome pkateau with a great group Thursday, took a day off from the truck thursday, did a really cool ropes course and had some shaved ice in town:) friday night is when it didnt go my way. went playin in the sand. overheated the p/s, blew a bunch of fluid out, and lost all p/s. limped it back to camp that night. no p/s at idle, above 3500 or so i could get some assist but not alot. the pump would get stupid hot really fast as well....

Saturday, swapped pumps from one i got at oriellys, didnt fix my problem. i then bit the bullet, and swapped racks from oriellys. sceptical because i had already put my new rack in a coupe months before???? btw, swapping racks in the middle of day in moab in the desert sucks, just plain sucks.

rack didnt fix my problem. I was thinking maybe i had a clogged line only under pressure? spent some time blowing the lines out with Ben's compressor, thank u ben! bt found no problems with the lines. spent all day messin with this damn thing, couldnt figure it out. Thanks to Keith for helping me all day.
finally, cut my losses and removed the belt. i drove home sunday with an eyeballed toe set and no p/s..... sucked ass, especially in the mtns. but shes home safe.

today i swapped pumps to an oem, ding ding dig we have a winner! fuckin oriellys pump was junk out of the box. sucks that i assumed the part was good in my diagnosis stradegy.... oh well.... so i returned the rack and pump today for my 600 bucks bac today! bought a new oem pump, reinstalled my nice rack and ordered a p/s cooler kit ill install tomorrow:D

other than that that truck did great, really like the rear setup, the new bumps worked flawlessly, soaked up some good hits. cruised around just fine and crawled and flexed all the same:)

when shit breaks its just a reason to upgrade right??!?!?!?!?!

We are planning on it. I'm really excited. Need to get some more seat time though :) thinking of longer shocks in the rear, my guess is that the shocks are limiting travel... Checking out your setup now. Lmk if you have any wisdom to impart about longer shocks and/or relocation.

Bamf bpv bracket. pretty slick design imo. had to modify it a bit to fit with the diff armor, but huge difference wheni brake now. But now it hits my exhaust when i flex.... damnit:(

well to solve the whole over heating powersteering problem. i installed a cooler today! more work than i anticipated.... but final product came out sweet. drilled a hole for the lines, wrapped the medal with vacuum line so no sharp edges. cut off the hard return line. flared the end..... wrapped the lines where they rubbed eachother with heater hose. the grill rubs the top line ever so slightly. i threw some sticky foam on the grill. i will be keeping an eye on that spot for problems, but i think itll be ok. mounted the cooler in the best spot i could find. before anyone critiques my positioning because lack of air flow, its the best place for it i could find. easiest access for lines, right in front of the fan, which is most important. after all the p/s will over heat when going slow, not fast lol

    onto the pics.....

went and checked out Georgia pass today. Kim and i just wanted to get up in the mtns. it was fun, broke trail the last mile or so up to the top. drove over some rock solid drifts which was kinda cool, then had to break through some softer ones. first truck to the sign this season!
